The Ladies’ Parlor remained unrestored… the allocated funds ran out, and so did the restoration work. Yet perhaps this is for the best—we can now see the full extent of the Soviet „beauty” left behind: various layers of paint and wallpaper, a crumbling, soot-stained chimney, and a stove that has long since gone cold.

However, in the time they had, the restorers managed to reveal extraordinary beauty: an impressive landscape painting above the window, an ornate floral frieze along the ceiling’s edge, and a floral panel in the center of the ceiling. It was amidst these floral motifs that women once held court—hence the room’s name, the „Ladies’ Parlor.” The room’s well-preserved geometric parquet flooring lends a sense of calm to this small, richly decorated space.
